PITTI 102: PITTI ISLAND

From June 14-17, we showed our collections at the iconic Pitti Firenze 2022 Fortezza da Basso. Pitti Uomo is the famous fair dedicated to all types of menswear, from formal to casual. This season, Pitti Uomo’s theme was Pitti Island: light colors and tropical inspiration were perfect for the next spring/summer look for menswear.

Serà Fine Silk showed collections in the Fantastic Classic section in the Center Pavillion lower level at booth R/25.

As always, our main inspiration is Italy and the beauty of it and we reflected this on our booth that was colorful and full of unique Italian details.

We presented the Cinque Terre pocket squares collection, inspired by the five villages of Cinque Terre in the region of Liguira. Of course, they are made in Italy near Como of 100% silk with hand-rolled edges. To get the visitors inspired, we used vintage postcards of Cinque Terre to transport them to the picturesque and historical villages.

To complete the “Estate Italiana” vibes, we also presented our new bathing suits.

Our product collection expanded even farther this year to include swim trunks inspired by beautiful Italian islands, Procida and Ischia. The bathing costumes, made of 100% polyester, come in a variety of colors. They are medium length and dry fit for your perfect summer day. Shells, anchors, nets and vintage postcards made our booth pop and allowed people feel ready to dive in in our new bathing suits.

Among the other new additions, we featured our lucky charms pocket square collection. These feature hidden symbols of luck in each design and are handmade in Italy of 100% linen. The symbols of luck, including a red pepper, horseshoe, and more, allow the wearer to have a subtle symbol of luck attached to them all day, while keeping it a secret from those around them.

Another addition of the season was our bandana collection. Surrounded by a bright green vintage record player and classic Italian records, we showed off our new bandana collection inspired by popular Italian songs. Handcrafted in Italy of cotton and silk, they are perfect for all music lovers. The bandanas feature lyrics from songs such as L’Appuntamento by Ornella Vanoni.

Wedding season means it is the perfect time to get your 100% silk made in Italy bow ties, suspenders, and cummerbunds. Our booth featured an area entirely dedicated to wedding attire. We set the scene of by finding vintage wedding polaroids and a film camera to show what your big day could look like in our handmade silk accessories. There are a variety of colors and patterns, along with options for pre-tied and self tie bow ties and button only or clip suspenders.

We also featured our silk and cotton made in Italy pajamas. Coffee roasters, crosswords, and alarm clocks transported people to early cozy mornings, curled up in our handmade pajamas. With long sleeve and short sleeve options, our pajamas are perfect for any lazy morning.

Every season, Pitti Uomo is such a joy to attend. From seeing old friends to meeting new ones, we are delighted every season to be apart of such a great event.
